Every fall before one of the biggest SEC rivalry game of the season occurs, a huge party is thrown in Augusta, GA to celebrate both sides for a great cause. The UGA - USC fans join together in the evening before the game for some pre-game family fun that raises money for children’s charities in the CSRA. This year it was held at the Augusta Commons on September 7th. No matter who wins the football game, it is local children’s charities that will benefit.
Border Bash Foundation, uses the money raised by the annual Border Bash event to grant other area 501(c)(3) organizations focused on positively impacting children. The Foundation has been serving the area for 25 years, and time is growing short for this year’s grant applications. The last applications are due on this Friday, September 14th. See https://www.cfcsra.org/TheBorderBashFoundationGrantInformation for application details.
